School Columns is an excellent
way for school happenings to get published on YumaSun.com
by students.
With involving parent/student
relations with the community, School Columns also hopes to extend
its reaches by invoking the inner journalist within students. Every
student's work is monitored by an advisor to make sure it is acceptable.
Q:
What should the students write about?
A:
Any event their school is holding or an article involving the area.
They can write about anything from last week to the week ahead.
They can write about students, teachers, clubs, or teams. All except:
Birthday Parties. Rumors or False Information. Gossip.
School Column hopefuls must sign
a contract with their parent's consent and hand it in to Karen Phillips,
head of the NIE department at The Sun.
